Summer’s hottest trend: sporty swimwear

By Alex Cooper

If there is one (undoubtedly) infamous cinematic display of swimwear, it’s Baywatch. Tanned and toned lifeguards running on the beach, sand flicking off their feet at each step, and muscles reflecting the sunlight – let’s face it, we’ve all wished that were us at one point.

However, just because you aren’t trained to save lives or have muscles jutting out of your physique doesn’t mean you can’t look like your own version of Sporty Spice.

This summer, the hottest swimsuit trends are athletic and sporty.

Both functional and fabulous, sporty swimwear is a must for this summer season. Plastic zippers to imitate surfer’s body suits, sports-bra shaped bikini tops, and even mesh detailed swimwear, all come together to make this your sportiest summer ever.

While these suits won’t guarantee you that Baywatch six-pack you’ve always dreamed of, they’re sure to fool the beach regulars into thinking you’re on your way to getting one.

Zip yourself into sporty swimwear this summer and get inspired with these featured looks.
