One common trait I’ve noticed I pick up while shopping is touching. Through every rack, hanger and folded pile I’m constantly touching, rubbing and pulling at fabrics. Shopping and one’s wardrobe is a multi-sense experience because you don’t just see clothes, you feel them. During this fall’s fashion month, major designers had this in mind while adding the third dimension to their creations. From beading, to jewels and even couture plastic cut–this trend stuck out.
While high fashion isn’t always attainable on college campuses, there are many similarly protruding trends that are affordable enough for Uptown. Several stores like Anthropologie and J. Crew are notorious for fantastic embellishment on items from dresses, tops, pants, shoes, bags and even hair accessories. Check them out!
Though these items all bring out a little extra something in otherwise ordinary pieces, they are investments. If you are looking for a defined piece without breaking the bank, check out sites like Asos.com and Forever21.com! Here are some of my favorite buys!
Whether you chose to embellish or just wear a fun print, adding dimension to your wardrobe always creates a unique edge!
