Afternoon coffee? No . . . Afternoon apple cider vinegar drink!

As college students, we probably don’t think of an apple cider vinegar drink as something we want to drink instead of our usual cup of coffee. Okay, so you don’t have to give up coffee at all, but adding this drink to your day may add some benefits that go beyond the caffeine rush of coffee.

As someone who attempts to take apple cider vinegar as a natural alternative to heart burn alleviators, the taste definitely strays you away. Just give me the tums, right?! Maybe. Maybe not. . .

However, apple cider vinegar is suggested to have many benefits to the body. This includes improving digestion, helping with weight loss and sugar cravings, and increasing the body’s energy.

Since apple cider vinegar itself is not very pleasing to the taste buds, here is a drink recipe that should make it easier to consume.

  • 6 ounces organic apple juice
  • 8 ounces filtered water
  • 3 tablespoons raw, organic, unfiltered, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar (with the mother)
  • juice of ½ organic lime (about 1 tablespoon)
