Get ready, because there’s another European invasion.
Like its predecessors, such as Zara and TopShop – which originated in Europe before landing in the United States – COS (Collection of Style) is set to make waves throughout the American fashion industry.
Although its online store has been active for several months, the polished and minimalist cousin of H&M has opened its first U.S. location in Beverly Hills, California.
The retailer provides current, sophisticated, and affordable pieces, while weeding out some of the cheesy and less modern clothing sold at H&M.
Prior to their U.S. launch, COS was one of the best-kept secrets in the industry, and many would haul loads of COS’ clothing back from their European trips.
According to Vogue, the pieces possess a higher quality than most chains, and are suitable to an older and more mature crowd. The brand is also popular for its fresh designs and striking similarities to notorious designers, such as Céline and Stella McCartney.
Below are 5 items that need to be added into your shopping cart – including an edgy approach to a textured wool skirt, a sheer white blouse for a night out, and a chic and structured blazer.
