Dress well, test well.

You’re taking a break from studying for finals to read this, as I am to write this. Trying to concentrate and not get too distracted, but at this point in time, after two all-nighters, five cups of coffee, three Red Bulls and endless hand cramps, anything thing is better than econ right now.

So, as you take this break, you might as well use time time as a benefit to yourself. Let me express to you the do’s and don’ts of dressing for finals week.

We’ve heard it before, “dress well, test well”. But, your jeans are too tight for you to sit down, your boots are giving you blisters on the back of your heals and your non-athletic bra is digging into your back. With all of these distractions, it is almost impossible to focus on your studies.

Maybe the saying does not mean dress like you’re “going up on a Tuesday” for your final exams, but rather, dress appropriately for test taking.

Ladies, you can still look cute for your tests, and impress that boy you sit next to in calc one last time, without looking like you spent more time putting your outfit together than studying. But, at the same time we don’t want to look like we spent more time sleeping than studying either.

Here’s how you can achieve this happy medium. Once again, leggings are the move. So are layers. King is too hot, your classroom may be too cold. Let’s play it safe and pair a t-shirt with a cardigan. No one wants to have to deal with the stresses of pit-stains during finals week – we have enough to stress about. Forget about contacts, and finish the look off with glasses, real or fake. This will give off the impression that you are studious and ready to tackle finals without any wardrobe malfunctions.

Good luck on finals everyone. And remember dress to impress…yourself with how well you do on your tests because your jeans aren’t too tight.
