For the longest time, I always saw leather as a super-edgy, tough-girl material, for motorcyclists and Catwoman only--totally unattainable. Definitely not meant to be worn beyond the realm of accessories and shoes.
But then, suddenly, leather broke onto the scene. It was found in patches on leggings, then took over the leggings themselves. Leather-trimmed shirts and moto jackets were sold in nearly every store. Leather had emerged, and I couldn’t wait to jump on the train.
One of the most accessible ways to wear leather these days is with a skirt. Leather skirts are super versatile…so versatile, in fact, that I would go as far as to call them the “new staple”. They can be dressed up for a night on the town or styled with a sweater and booties for a chic everyday look. Here are some options that you’d wear again and again:
This silver-embossed skirt is a cool take on the “groutfit” when paired with a gray top, or would look great with a colorful blouse as well.
This black skirt would lend chic texture to an all-black ensemble, or could go to work with a blazer.
This blush skirt would look great with winter whites and would transition nicely into spring with sneakers and a light sweater.
