Hitting the Temps

By Pooja Ramchandani

With the hues of reds and oranges surrounding us all over, and the city getting colder day by day, it’s hard to keep up with the fashion statements while trying to not look like an inflated balloon with all these different layers and dimensions. So what do you do? You keep styling and making fashion statements!

First up:  Parkas!

Parkas feels like a robe, yet they’re socially acceptable, and of course! weather appropriate. They’re a must have in everyone’s wardrobe for the fall! They are versatile and eccentric.

Military, blues, reds or blacks, parkas give the I-so-don’t-care-how-I look vibe. A little like Kate Moss or Gwyneth Paltrow on their day off.

Parkas can be paired up with sweaters, T-shirts, jumpers or grunge/vintage shirts. No fashion rules apply to this item of clothing, so you’ll find it giving an edge to a rather official outfit.

And the best part? You can make it fun on a sexy night out: put on a crop top, skirt and heels, and you’re ready to go! Personally I love how it looks with grunge boots, leggings, and oversized tees.

And there you have it, a fashion statement that keeps you warm yet chic in these temps!
