Avocado Is Not As Basic As You Think

Fun fact: avocado is not a vegetable, it’s a fruit! Its green color and savory taste make it seem like a hardy green vegetable, but it is indeed a single seeded fruit. On the other hand, avocado makes great guacamole, which is my favorite snack. Not only does avocado taste great on toast, but it can help enhance your beauty. Here are some benefits that avocados provide:

Make up remover: Avocado oil is a gentle way to remove makeup from your skin without irritating it. Pour a little bit onto a cotton ball or pad and wipe over your face. Followed by your favorite cleanser.

Hair Quencher: As winter comes in and the air gets dryer, your hair could use some extra conditioning. Give it some love in the shower by moisturizing with avocado and Shea butter. You can make it yourself if you have some time over the holidays this season or buy it from Garnier Whole blends .

Body Moisturizer: Wondering if your daily moisturizer could be drying your skin out? Try avocado oil. It’s loaded with lots of fats. Avocado is said to be the most moisturizing of any fruit oil. If you’re looking to switch to an avocado daily moisturizer, try St. Ives.

Eye brightener: The skin under your eyes is one of the most sensitive parts of the body. Treat it with a good moisturizer containing avocado, like Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment . Pat—don’t rub—a pea sized drop under eyes with your ring finger.
