Gobble UP

One of my favorite holidays is right around the corner…Thanksgiving! A time for family, watching the Rockettes on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and wishing you were one, and eating lots and lots of food. I always struggle picking out the perfect outfit for Thanksgiving because I want to look all cute and fall-ish, but after the second helping of turkey and mashed potatoes, the tight jeans aren’t feeling so good. Here’s a list of cute, yet food-belly hiding outfit tips for your Thanksgiving:

Oversized Flannel or Denim Dress:

Nothing says fall more like a flannel. Throwing on an oversized flannel or denim dress with some over-the-knee boots and a scarf is a perfect look because it’s a style that allows you to eat as much as you want, but not show it through a tight sweater and skinny jeans. If you want it to have a little bit of shape, feel free to throw on a belt over it to tighten up the look.

Dress Up your Drawstring Pants:

Going for the two-piece look but don’t want to have to worry about sucking into your jeans when full of stuffing? Nothing beats a pair of drawstring pants. Dress them up with a chunky sweater and a printed scarf or a nice blouse and statement necklace. Throw on some booties or pumps and you are set for dinner time.

Shoot for the Scarf:

I love oversized blanket scarfs because they are warm and cozy and they are a great trick to hiding food babies. You can wrap them any way you want and they look great with a dress, skirt, or pants!

Whatever you decide to wear, I hope your Thankgiving is full of love, family, and three helpings of food! Happy Thanksgiving!!
