The VS Fashion Show Hair & Makeup Was On Point

By Hannah Blaze

As I’m sure you have seen by now from the countless pictures spamming your Insta and Twitter feeds, the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion show was held on Wednesday, November 30th, and then aired on CBS Monday night. The VSFS is always one of the biggest things I look forward to around this time of year, and this show did not disappoint—especially the hair and makeup!

For hair, VS was sponsored by the same company as last year, the Beachwaver Co. They sell a $200 curling iron called the ‘Beachwaver Pro‘ that automatically rotates once you lock in your strand of hair, supposedly giving you the perfect beach wave look. Now although their hair looked amazing, I do have to say that the same look could most definitely be achieved using a much cheaper iron (my personal fave for this look is this iron from Hot Tools).

Lead hairstylist Anthony Turner said he wanted to go for a look that was “a little bit sexy and a little bit rock and roll.”

As for makeup, lead artist Tom Pecheux said he was going for a “balance between chic Parisian and American glamour.” He said he applied “foundation over concealer for a natural look, and no bronzer or setting powder.” Cheekbones were highlighted with natural tones, and a bit of eyeshadow and liner were used to create a beautiful yet subtle smokey cat-eye. Pecheux said all models lashes were coated in “Max Factor Epic Mascara” and lips were coated in VS Velvet Lip Matte in “Adorned” and “Perfection” and then topped with gloss for shine.

Overall, all of the models looked absolutely STUNNING at the show. I mean, how could they not? They’re Victoria’s Secret Models! Now, let the countdown begin for next years show!
