Square scarves are the little scarves that are worn around the neck, can be worn as a headband, on the wrist, or even around the strap of a purse. They were predominantly popular in the 1950s and 1960s, but made a small comeback among ‘80s prep. Now, they have made a reappearance in 2017 and we are loving it!

These little beauties brighten up any outfit. Pair a red square scarf around the neck with a little black dress and you get vintage perfection. It is classy, elegant, and unique. Add a bandana patterned square scarf with a jean jacket and white t-shirt. This will spice up a casual spring look, which is always great. These are also great to wear as headbands. Adding one of these to a messy bun or quick pony will look cool and trendy, while also potentially giving a nod to Rosie the Riveter as inspiration! Plus, square scarves tend to be very light in texture and weight. This means that it will look really cute without feeling too bulky on your head or around your neck. Another advantage is that it can pretty much go with anything. Seriously, a white square scarf with a crew neck sweatshirt would even work. It is the perfect accessory for casual or formal occasions, like classic pearl earrings.
