I’m pretty sure everyone is still quite shaken up over last week’s New York Fashion Week. The week after is the perfect time to reflect, throw out your old wardrobe, run to the malls (or your bed and online shop, my personal favorite), and spend all that hard earned money on nobody but you! One of the things I look forward to most from New York Fashion Week is the amazing street styles. Most of the trends of the fashion world come from random people walking down the streets of New York. This year gave us a lot of material to go off of, so I’m going to highlight the most popular styles soon to appear everywhere.
Bold Color, Bold Style Puff Coats
These Michelin Man coats have been trending for a while, but not this puffy and colorful. Bold colors were a hit throughout the streets of New York last week. Enhanced primary colors were frequent, but there were also pops of pink, greens, and highlighter yellows that made their way downtown.
Graphic tees are always a comfortable version of self-expression. They are fun to show off and look at, but sometimes I wonder if there are truly multiple ways to wear them, or if they are destined to always be paired with denim. I was delightfully surprised by last week and the arrival of these crazy shirts worn in new ways.
A little patchy
Keeping up with our Youth in Revolt theme, patches are crazy in! They were seen all over the streets and runways last week. We’ve seen them vamp up denim jackets and jeans, but now they are all over peacoats and bombers. Head over to the Walmart craft section and get some of these iron ons to spice up any article of clothing.
