In my opinion, nothing screams springtime like gorgeous bohemian style braids. They are great for this humid time of year because they truly look their best when frizzy/textured. You really cannot go wrong with braids this spring and here are some gorgeous looks:
To get the true boho look when you braid your hair, make sure to stretch each plait out to make the entire braid look a lot thicker and wispy. I personally recommend being a little bit rough with your hair when you do this, because that is when you will start getting that super cool, messy textured look to it.
My absolute favorite bohemian braid right now is the halo braid. To do this, part your hair down the middle and create two inverted braids down the sides. Here is none other than The Harry Styles (LOL) to show you what this should look like:
Once you have those done, start pulling them apart to create that wispy effect that I had mentioned previously. Next, you simply cross wrap them around your head and tuck the ends into the braid. I would then go bobby pin crazy to make sure everything stays in place! (It’s always a lot easier/faster to get a roommate to help you with this part) The final piece should look something like this:
(Note: It also looks super cute if you leave a few pieces out in the front to frame your face)
This is hands down my favorite hairstyle for going out. You don’t have to worry about your curls falling flat, or your straight hair getting kinks, and your hair is up and out of your face the entire night, which means you never have to put it in that gross, sweaty, end of the night bun (you know exactly what I’m talking about.) Seriously, try this ‘do out. You will thank me.
If you’re looking for a fun, new way to wear your hair this season, definitely try incorporating some boho braids into your look. They are seriously stunning and will be a definite head turner. They’re the perfect way to combat the inevitable spring frizz, and can keep your hair out of your face during these rising temperatures. The possibilities are endless with this style, so go wild. Happy braiding!
