When I think of all the ways I could spend a fall Saturday in our lovely town of Oxford, lots of ideas come to mind. However, unlike most schools, a Redhawk football game isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. There’s no doubt we aren’t exactly known as a football school, but who says we can’t pretend?
After the record turns out of 21,811 attendees at our Homecoming Game versus the University of Cincinnati, maybe things are starting to change after all. Game-day outfit is all about being cute, comfy and showing your school spirit. Also adding a unique twist to your outfit like a fun choker, frayed denim, or a sporty pair of sneakers can show your style while still looking full of “love and honor.”
My friends and I gave a game-day look a try this past weekend in South Bend, Indiana while cheering on our Redhawks against Notre Dame. Although our team left with an L, I would like to think our outfits came out with a W. Although denim was a prominent theme, we each definitely added our own flare to it to make the outfit our own. I turned a simple red love and honor tank that I usually work out in into a Gameday look by pairing it with my all-time favorite black jeans skirt, my go-to jeans jacket, vans and a gold choker. If you’re looking for a more comfortable look a cropped sweatshirt with high waisted jean shorts and a statement belt is the look for you.
Buy any Miami t-shirt and make it your own in seconds with a pair of scissors. This cropped t-shirt look is great paired with a variety of bottoms as you can see from the picture above. You can even go out of the box by adding a fun pattern like gingham or camo. Don’t forget a fun pair of sunnies and of course jewelry and you’re ready to cheer the Redhawks onto victory!
Rise UP Redhawks and show off your school with your school spirit with a killer game day outfit!
