Five Throwback Movies to Watch This Fall

By Madelyn Hopkins

Fall and Winter are the best times for snuggling up and watching a good movie.  Christmas time it’s easy, the obvious decision is Holiday movies like “A Christmas Story” or “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”  But come mid-October, as the weather is transitioning, it’s hard to find a movie that really fits your vibe.

I have the hardest time deciding what movie to watch.  I can think of 1000 movies to watch when I’m busy with other things; however, the minute I go to actually watch a movie, I always blank and can’t think about what I’m in the mood for.

Sooo, I’ve come up with a list of some fun, Fall movies to hopefully inspire you all for when you’re looking to lay around in bed and watch a movie.  The list goes as follows:

Hocus Pocus:  A classic Halloween flick that every kid who grew up in the 90s and 2000s knows and loves.

The Blind Side:  A feel-good movie.  Football season, naturally, equals Fall.  This film is a no brainier for days when you need a pick me up.

A Walk To Remember:  One of my favorite chick flicks.  This movie gives you a reason to cry on a rainy day when you just need to feel sad.  But it’s okay because Nicholas Sparks makes sure you fall in love before you cry.

Shutter Island:  I’m not one for horror movies, but I love this thriller.  Shutter Island is spooky, exciting, and intriguing.  It’s great to watch around Halloween time when the spooks are high.

The Notebook:  Because who doesn’t love the Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams duo? This movie is my favorite heart warmer and go-to film for when I need some sappy, stupid love.

Next time you’re looking for a movie to watch, consider these!  And if you don’t want to watch any of these, then I hope that this list inspired you to find another movie!

Happy watching!! xx
