Books You Need to Read this Fall

By Abby Malone

‘Tis the season of oversized sweaters, pumpkin spiced lattes, and Christmas shopping. When the weather starts getting colder, my favorite thing to do is get cozy and read a good book.  Sometimes it is nice to just read something that is not for class! I have put together a list of my favorite books to read this fall/winter season, tea in hand:

Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

This is the book that everyone was talking about at the beginning of the year. Think mystery meets chick-lit, i.e. best combination ever. And there’s a super great mini-series on HBO starring Reese Witherspoon! If you like this one, Liane Moriarty’s The Husband’s Secret is equally juicy and spooky.

The Help by Kathryn Stockett

One of my favorite books of all time! This is a great story about very brave women in the 1960’s in the south who face discrimination. Also a great movie to watch after you finish the book.

The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger

Truly an iconic book. Even more iconic of a movie. That’s all.

Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll

This one is similar to Big Little Lies, but even creepier in my opinion. Total page turner!

The People We Hate at Weddings by Grant Ginder

Super funny and features an amazing group of characters that make you smile.

Hope you consider one of these great books next time you have a cozy day!
