How to Stay Sane During Finals

By Abby Malone

Ah, finals. The most dreaded week of the year, the week we all like to keep out of our minds the whole semester, and then when the day finally comes, all we want to do is take a nap or watch Netflix. Sometimes you need to take a break and do a little mind stretch before getting back to hitting the books. Here is a list of super fun things you can do to put your mind at ease:

  1. Exercise. It may not seem like the most fun solution, but pick something that you think can be stress relieving. Take a yoga class over at Root Yoga, or Pilates at the Rec Group Fitness. An hour out of your day to forget about that huge paper you have to do to work out can do wonders.
  2. Spa Day. Taking time out of your day to give yourself a great face mask or paint your nails can help you feel great when maybe you feel just tired and exhausted. There is nothing a face mask can’t solve!
  3. Go for a drive. Even if you don’t have a car, go with your friends on their drives to Walgreens/Kroger. Sometimes a little trip in the car can do wonders, especially with a fab Spotify playlist on the aux.

Hope that helps you stay sane this finals week!
