A guide to a successful Thanksgiving dinner

By Caché Roberts

Thanksgiving Break is right around the corner, and the only thing on my mind is the food!

But you may also be thinking about how you’re going to sit through that dinner with the same people you see yearly around this time and talk about your relationship status? Maybe your thinking what you’re going to wear, even though we all know we’re showing up to a living room. Either way here is the guide to a successful Thanksgiving Dinner!

Family

As awkward as it may be to break to your family that you and your significant other are not in a relationship anymore or to bring home a new partner, a family is essential around this time of year! This is the time to update them with everything that has been going on whether that is a new internship or a new position in an organization. They haven’t seen you in a while, and I am sure they want to hear from you especially if they are anything like my nosey family.

Food

Please pig out, and when I say pig out, I mean go for seconds, thirds, fourths, and did I mention dessert? I know you all are tired of campus food, so enjoy this time and thank your family members for the time they spent to make that macaroni ‘n’ cheese just right. My favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner is the dessert- I love good banana pudding.

Reality T(ea)V time

After hearing about some tea from Aunt Becky, it’s time to turn the tv for some other tea. Some good reality tv shows to catch up on are the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Real Housewives of New Jersey, Married to Medicine and let’s not forget Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
