Girl boss podcasts you need to be listening to

Since coming to college, I have seriously gotten into podcasts. They are the perfect entertainment for walking to class when you don’t feel like listening to music. I also love listening to them while cleaning up my room or getting ready for the day or just when

I’m doing mindless tasks. Not only are they entertaining, but they also can give you really good life advice. These are my top three podcasts about or by girl bosses that inspire me to go after my dreams and trust the process of cultivating my best life.

1. Second Life by MyDomaine

This podcast is hosted by Hillary Kerr, an author, fashion writer, Chief Ideation Officer for Clique Media Group, and co-founder of Who, What Wear, MyDomaine, and Byrdie. In this podcast, she talks to women who have changed career paths and reach their “the second life.”

Featuring girl-bosses like Eva Chen, Instagram’s Director of Fashion Partnerships, Christina Tosi, founder of Milk Bar, and Amanda Hesser, co-founder, and CEO of Food52, the podcast dives into each woman’s career path and how they figured out what they actually wanted to do. This podcast is very inspiring and encouraging, proclaiming that everyone has their own path.

2. Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls by Timbuktu Labs

I don’t know how I stumbled upon this podcast but I have been loving listening to it, setting the sleep timer on Spotify so that I can listen as I fall asleep. This podcast, hosted each week by a different girl-boss, tells the story of inspiring women like Frida Kahlo, Wangari Maathai, and Yusra Mardini in a fairy tale format.

The storytelling each episode of this podcast is beautiful and calming, making them the best bedtime stories. It’s also just fun to learn about inspiring women’s stories and hear about their lives. This podcast is based on a book with the same title by Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo. If you have trouble falling asleep or are looking to add a new calming element to your night routine, give this podcast a listen and be lulled to sleep by captivating stories of badass women.

3. The Health Code

Youtuber Sarah, known as Sarah’s Day, and her boyfriend Kurt host this podcast. They cover a range of topics like how to find your dream job, relationships, healthy hacks, and how to start a YouTube channel while also including updates about their lives intermixed with giggles as they tease each other.

The Health Code is such a fun podcast. I love getting a little look into their relationship while also hearing their advice about all aspects of life. If you’re looking for a light-hearted podcast with tips about health, fitness, and life in general, try out this podcast.
