Now that we are in the month of December and finals start next week, everyone is eagerly awaiting the much anticipated holiday season. People have already begun to buy their Christmas trees and decorate their homes/dorm rooms with Christmas lights and decor.
Even though decorating is one of the best parts, there are many other ways to ring in the holiday season…and what better way to do so than watching some classic holiday movies? If Netflix is your go-to site for watching movies, then you better check out these classics:
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
This is an absolute classic, but often times it is forgotten. Take it upon yourself to become reacquainted with the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who this holiday season.
This is my favorite movie of all-time. I’ve already watched it twice since coming to school and it’s not even December yet. I definitely recommend if you like movies with a plot similar to Valentine’s Day, but with a British twist.
The Search for Santa Paws
This is one of those feel-good movies, definitely relating more to children, but who don’t want to watch a movie about cute puppies and Santa?
The Princess Switch
This one was just added to Netflix on November 16th but is certainly worth a try. The plot is sure to keep you on your toes, as the film centers around the Duchess of Montenaro and how she switches places with a normal girl from Chicago. Another plus is the cast: Vanessa Hudgens and Gunnar from Nashville.
The Christmas Chronicles
This one is more of a traditional Christmas movie, similar to the original The Santa Clause film, but this one is definitely worth seeing because it is produced by the same person as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Home Alone.
