How to properly celebrate Galentine’s Day

Galentine’s Day, February 13th, is here and I am so ready. This holiday was pioneered by none other than THE girl boss, Leslie Knope. What a great opportunity to show the lovely ladies in our life our appreciation for all that they do. So grab your gal pals and get ready to celebrate with the help of some of the tips below!!

1. Watch the Parks and Rec Galentine’s Day episode

To get in the spirit, or for inspiration for your own party, watch the episode that started it all. Parks and Rec is a great show in general so whether you all sit down to watch or have it playing in the background, paying homage to the Galentine’s Day of Pawnee is a great place to start.

2. Make chocolate covered strawberries (or really any dessert)

Getting everyone into the kitchen together to make some delicious treats is one of my favorite ways to spend time with my favorite girlies. Though any dessert will do, chocolate covered strawberries are a great option to get everyone involved because they’re easy to make and don’t require any baking.

3. Custom stickers

In lieu of valentines, get your girls some custom stickers! You can make them through redbubble or just buy some that are already on there. Stickers are such a great way to get someone a fun but personal gift.

4. Play some group games

Some of my favorite group games that require minimal equipment are fishbowl, the name of the game is george, families, and psychiatrist.

5. Waffle Bar

Having a waffle bar with different toppings at your Galentine’s Day party is a great way to feed your guests while also honoring Leslie Knope and her obsession with waffles.
