From when she got her big break in Disney’s Hannah Montana to now, I’ve been a fan of Miley Cyrus and yes, even during her “crazy” phase. In 2013, she released her first single “We Can’t Stop” off of her album Bangerz and immediately gained traction in the spotlight with her scandalous performance at the VMAs. The attention continued up until months after she released her next album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz. Miley then seemed to go silent: she didn’t post as much on social media, didn’t have many appearances, and wasn’t releasing music. She went so silent, that quite honestly, I almost forgot about her.
This past November, Miley came back on the scene with her single with Mark Ronson “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” and sent the world into a frenzy with the catchy jam and her promotion tour style. She appeared for interviews and talked about her new music, plus her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, and how he saved her many animals from the devastating Malibu wildfires.
She recorded one of the best covers I have ever heard while performing for BBC’s Live Lounge and made the world shake once more when she subtly posted wedding pictures of her and Liam a couple days before Christmas.
In other words, Miley Cyrus is back and slaying, and no one is mad about it.
