The Jonas Brothers are back and in the best way

I’m sure you’ve heard by now, but, after six years, the Jonas Brothers are FINALLY back together. Honestly, even though a couple of news outlets had leaked that they were getting back together, I really didn’t believe it until I saw the post on Instagram. And even then, I didn’t believe it until I saw that the account was verified (that blue check mark doesn’t lie). But it’s true, they’re back, and out with new music! Their song “Sucker” was released on March 1, 2019 (it’s very catchy) along with an iconic music video featuring their wives/fiancees.

I’ve noticed that this reunion has been so much fun for so many people. Getting to reminisce about the old Disney channel and strange fashion of the 2010s has really brought people together.

I also love how the Jonas Brothers are really having fun with this moment, remaking the “oh how the tables have turned” video and partnering up with James Corden to make their comeback announcement. They even posted a video on Instagram referencing Friends. I think it’s really interesting to see celebrities use social media in a way that is less aloof and more relatable, and the Jonas Brothers are honestly killing the game at doing just that, like posting a “Friends” inspired video on Instagram to promote their music video.

Just for you guys 🎉

This reunion has helped me remember some of the iconic Jonas Brothers things, like Nick Jonas singing “red dress” in “Burnin’ Up,” the weird way Joe Jonas dances when he sings, Kevin Jonas’ character in Camp Rock, their bodyguard, and the “Year 3000” music video (those special effects though).

I think what we all love about the Jonas Brothers is that they aren’t perfect. They aren’t untouchable. They’re funny, they’re relatable, and we got to grow up with them. I think the Jonas Brothers getting back together is what we all needed. And hey, now maybe we’ll actually get that seventh album.
